Anglers Advantage meets Lake Taneycomo's Challenge Article By the Branson Courier

I’m a life-long, self-taught fisherman.  My obsession with fishing began as a small child when we would drive over a bridge and I could see the fishermen below on the water.  As soon as I was able to toddle, I was out the door and across the road to the river.  When my mother realized I was gone she called 911 and told them, “I know he’s headed toward the river.”  The search party found me in a cornfield just short of the river bank and nearly two miles from home.  I won my first trout tournament on a spinning rod when I was six years old.  By first grade I was already out-fishing my father.  My elementary years were spent hopping fences at farm ponds with my brother David to catch bass and catfish.  By high school my brother and I had our first bass boat.  From then on it was a trek across the Midwest fishing every body of water around from the Brainerd Lake area in Minnesota to Colorado to the Missouri River and every lake in between.

My whole life revolves around fish and animals.  As the co-founder and former chief field agent I for the Animal Protection Agency in Kansas and Missouri, I have handled, fed, and rehabilitated everything from copperhead snakes to bald eagles, snapping turtles and even coyotes.  I am now a tournament angler on the Heartland Trails tournament circuit, fishing alongside legends like Charlie Campbell (Fresh Water Hall of Fame inductee).  My whole life is centered around locating and catching fish.  You can find me any day of the week on Lake Taneycomo or Table Rock Lake.  Hope to see you on the water!
